I recently got a detention for lending someone my iPad during class time, and that person happened to send a photo to another student. both that student and i got a detention. I want people to explain their option on this. Should i have been in trouble or not?

I accept the debate, but I do not understand why you would make this 3 rounds. This is just opinionated, and it has no real evidence to be presented to the debate. Nonetheless, I accept.

He has forfeited the round. I will continue to state that school is not a place for sharing electronics, it is a place for learning. Sharing your iPad was definitely inappropriate and you should have gotten detention for it.

My opponent has forfeited yet another round. I will consider this as an automatic win for myself.

I don't know if the detention is a short one that already is finished or if it is an after school one that would occur some other day. But if your detention didn't happen yet, stand you ground and argue your case with the detentioner.
No innocent should ever be blamed or punished for an action that the innocent did not do. You must stand up for that principle, which I take it you would subscribe to as well.
