Alright im kinda new to this site and i was looking around everywhere to find someway to message PLuto but to my dismay, nothing.

If you look at my profile you will see I have a draw in one of my debates.
My only debate.

http://www.debate.org...

Now that debate was with none other then Pluto who bravely expressed his desire for 10Billion american taxpayers money to aid the suffering of an African population from Malaria.
I argued we should help our own before we help others and to leave the aid to private charities.

Anyhow is in a draw.
Then i stumble upon this.

We can help others by not helping at all.

Most people today say we should help one another and share and such. But a world withut suffering does not exist. We must avoid the prevention of suffering as it is an inevitable cycle.

Pluto asking us not to help our fellow man an accept suffering as an inevitability!
Hypocritical of him to have asked 10billion dollars from the US citizens to help others that we have never met? Indeed.
See online you can get away with this, in the real world, a politician would have his career finished with such an obvious showcase of contradiction and hypocrisy.
But of course i could be wrong.

Is Pluto a hypocrite?
You can say yes or no in this debate and in the other.

I understand where you're coming from. In your position, I too might be bewildered.

However, during my stay here at Debate.org, I've realized that people do not always argue what they think is actually true. I've done it myself, and I don't see anything wrong with it.

While it is not necessarily evident at first, you come to realize that many of the people here debate just to debate. It's fun, and it's a challenge - to see if you can win a debate even when you don't believe in what your side has to say. That's how many of us feel, anyway.

So yeah, he was probably not presenting his actual beliefs on both topics. Hope that clear up any confusion you had. Also, they do need to add the ability to message people. I think they're working on a new version, and they said there are a lot more features, so hopefully that'll be one of 'em.

lets not take this too far, Drones. Just because I don't debate stuff I always believe in or don't have a position on doesn't mean I ALWAYS do that. How would we ever learn so deeply about the opposing side if we just threw away everyone else's viewpoints?

Also, I think you've confused the word 'Debate' with the word 'argument'. An argument is when you believe something and you try to convince the other person that you are right. A Debate is a formal gathering of two or more opponents, usually structered speech times, to argue for one side to convince a third party to believe in your side. It would be foolish to take two sides on an argument, but not in a debate.

My mistake for thinking someone actually believed what he was debating.

I don't know what you're talking about, obviously your not a debater. Notice this is DEBATE.ORG, not give-your-stances-on-political-issues.com.

And why is it hard to feel seriously about me? Please don't insult me. Even though I may not believe in one issue or another, I still take it seriously and try to persude the best I can.

It was a contradiction because you keep going around spewing different ideas that contradict each other in there goals.

Now that you claim is for educative purposes ill grant it to you.

Although is pretty hard to take any of your debates seriously from now on since you dont seem to take a strong stance in any of them. You argue both sides for the sake of debating skills.

Also to see what kind of a person you are, personally and political wise.

What the hell is this? Why didn't you ask me to do this?

And that's not a contradiction, to get the best education, I do both sides of stuff. Thanks Raisor, I am policy so I know both sides.

At least notify me when you do debates about me, please.

Pluto2493 is a policy debater and thus knows the value of debating both sides of the issue.

The "We can help others by not helping at all" thread looks like a weak Nietzsche K he's just throwing around for fun.

He isnt being hypocritical. Its ok to defend positions you dont hold. Devil's advocate is always welcome.
