I don't think man walked on the moon as there are multiple shadows when there should only be one. whats your opinion?
harrypotterfantng

Con

Let me start by saying that despite my position as "con" I am actually taking the role of "pro" since sandy_james is against the idea that man walked on the Moon in 1969. Basically, our roles are switched.

I do believe that man walked on the Moon in 1969. First of all, people actually witnessed this huge rocket go up into space the same day, so we know that Armstrong and Alden at leas made it past Earth. Also, it is a bit hard to explain away the flag that is currently in position on the moon, and the mirrors there that allow astronomers here on Earth to measure the distance between Earth and the Moon with lasers.

Pro

since our roles have switched i will argue man not walking on the moon. How come there are no stars in the in space when they should be supposedly a fraction closer than we are?
harrypotterfantng

Con

My guess was that it was because of the blurry footage, which would be normal since it was filmed in 1969 on the frickin' moon! Upon looking it up, I read that it was because of the sun reflecting off the surface of the moon. Just like during day time on Earth, it is hard to see stars in the sunlight on the Moon.

Why do you think all the scientists would lie to us? But it would be kinda funny if they did and we believed them.......;)

I sense sarcasm in that comment. We're both new here, so it's not our fault. Nice topic, though.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro had the burden of proof and provided no evidence, only vague assertions. Pro's opening round showed he thought man did not walk on the moon, so he was taking the "no" side of the question.

Reasons for voting decision: Con won it by pointing out that there are mirrors on the moon which allow astronomers to measure the distance, between earth and the moon by laser. This argument is the only one that converted me, before.
