Disney promotes sex. Accept in round 1.
Debate Round No. 1

Con

That is not debating lol. My adversary just links to sites where Disney had sexual images in the movies. That my default does not mean they support the images. Disney could easily have hired someone and someone else could have put it there, or it could be a running joke that disney does not condone.

He has the BOP to show that this is not third party people doing the work , and that Disney openly promotes it

The people making the animated movies work frame by frame. They had to have noticed those things. If they didn't condone it, they would have taken them out: It's a horrible joke for family movies.

If it was a third party, then the people that worked on those movies should be fired for letting that slip.

My adversarys argument is basically this

If he hires someone, and they rape a kid. He in turn condones rape. Disney I know has openly stated they do not promote or approve of any of these images. Thus negated.

The issue is you said the company promotes sex, not that the company distributed sexual references.
The resolution is a far cry from what you are arguing.

No, I'm saying that you can't possibly say all the people working on The Lion King missed all of those hidden spellings of "Sex" (There's, I think, 3 or 4), or the near-nude girl on the cover, since they are the ones who drew all of the stuff frame by frame. It had to of been released with all that stuff on purpose, with tons of people knowing, which is unfitting for a family movie.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro didn't meet the BoP. Initially, posting a link does nothing in terms of argument. Then, the second argument was rebutted by Con making a distinction between the individual and the company. Whilst this does not disprove the resolution, it's enough to create enough doubt to render Pro unable to affirm it. Thus, argument points go to Con.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro didn't really uphold his BOP, and honestly should be deducted conduct points for not even debating round 2, but whatever. Con showed that companies cannot be held wholly responsible for their employees actions, since of course they cannot 100% control them. Arguments goes to Con for that.
