I believe that animals do have feelings, however, I have seen many people believe that animals are just things. I want to see how other people will agree and how many will disagree. I will not judge on the people, i just want to see other's arguments.

Yes,they do. For example,i have a dog myself. My dog looks very happy whenever i come home: he jumps in me,runs around me,licks my face... And whenever i accidentally do something bad to him, such as stepping on his tail,he will refuse to play aroud for a while. So i do,yes, think animals have feelings.

You need to specify animals and emotions. I mean everything feels fear, but not everything feels fear attached to something like sadness or anger, which makes it more than an instinctual emotion. Also what emotions matter? Some animals may display happiness, but it doesn't mean much more than the brain chemicals it is due to a lack of ability to process complex thoughts and emotions. So its hard to debate this because you're assuming either all non-human animals have all human emotions or they have none, when it's really layered.
