Pro

I'll be arguing that celebrities do make bad role models. Con will argue that celebrities make good role models.

Round 1 - Acceptance
Round 2 - Opening Statements
Round 3 - Rebuttals
Round 4 - Summary

Good luck.

Con

I will accept the debate as the party of Con. I will argue that celebrities make good role models.

To clear up some confusion in the context of my debate a celebrity means: someone with fame and public attention in the media, usually applied to a person, group of people (celebrity couple, family, etc.). This includes but is not limited to; actors, actresses, singers, athletes, artists, politicians, activists, etc.

I hope for a fun and healthy debate. Thank you and good luck!

Con

My opponent failed to provide an opening statement however, I will not. I will try to make this quick and concise.

My opponent has made this argument topic very vague. And the fact that they forfeit the last round only leaves me with assumptions to build my opening statements off of. For the sake of this debate I will assume that my opponent is arguing that all celebrities are bad role models and bad influences for children. However, this is not the case. There are many celebrities who are great influences to today's youth. Many celebrities are rags to riches stories. The teach children about growing up and to never give up. Teenagers are actually more likely to have a celebrity as their role model than their parents.

7 points to Pro. Reasons for voting decision: S7 comes with better customization without me having to jailbreak my phone.

[*Reason for removal*] Full forfeit debates are not moderated unless the voter votes for the forfeiting side. The voter did so in this instance,, though apparently that was a mistake. Region, you can modify your vote after you cast it " you dont' have to get it removed to do so.
