Public Prosecutors are rewarded for convictions not justice.

We need public prosecutors and they're simply getting rewarded for doing their job.

Tell that to the hundreds of innocent people that did decades/years (innocence project .org) in prison or/and on death row that usually by luck are found not guilty and time they can't get back and to their destroyed families with the fact that if they succeed and sue will probably not live long enough to collect all of it nor can it be passed down to their loved ones if they have any for being thought as a criminal. What about the thousands that are still in prison that are not as lucky costing tax payers tens of thousands of dollars a year.Your right we do need prosecutors also police, prisons, courts. But that does not change the fact that a prosecutor don't always do what is right and the most powerful person in the court with the immunity of being sued or fired which are extremely difficult thing to do even to rogue prosecutors. With the power to file charges in secret how ever they feel many times with weak evidence.knowing that some, most or all charges are sometimes difficult to be proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and uses the threat of plea bargains to get an even innocent person to plea guilty with the help of an public or private defense attorney which usually wants to plea their clients and don't like trials. Prosecutors are usually rewarded for convictions not always justice and which looks good to the higher ups. Many don't care about innocence or guilt just to advance their careers and election.
