In my opinion, to an some extent they do. Some teachers just did a diploma and is teaching straight from the text. They're not even questioning "fact" because the textbook says so.

i think that teachers are doing this because they dont want to mix their opinons with what the text book says. it would be wrong for a teacher to tell his/her students about his or her opinons, because if they do that the students get the wrong idea in their haed and go and tell it to their parents.
