We classify time as now, but what if we are living in the past and future at the same time? And I know that grammar uses sentences to form present tense, I know Minkowski's diagram has a world line and and somewhere below the worldline is a here and now. We use the term present and now because we dont understand time. But lets say im eating an apple. As youd consider the present, every bite i take and swallow, would then be considered the past. For an additional bite i didnt know i was going take, would be considered the future. Time is based on the past and future. Like every minute is ticking by the second, so i must be living in the future as the day goes by without realizing it. might be a little hard for someone to understand this, and its a crazy idea, but i just want to know what you all think.

Imagine time as a railroad that goes on continuously starting at the big bang. You are in the train that is on the railroad and that is the present. The part ahead of you is the future and the part behind is the past. You will eventually be in the future and you used to be in the past, but at this point in time you are in the present. As people die they get off the train and as they are born they get on. So you are never in the past or the future except for that one moment in time where that is the present, other than that it is stored as memories.

Everything is changing at the current moment. The past no longer exists. The future has yet to exist. The only time that exists is the current moment. Memories of the past do not mean the past exists.

TheBenC that is false, time is a scientific construct, and it is the fourth dimension. If time did not exist then there would be no change in the universe, it would be like everything was on pause.

Time actually does not exist. It is a memory of past events. It is a prediction of future events. It is a flipbook of life. There is no past, future nor present. Time is not a scientific construct.

the present is the only position we sense. an objects motion isnt relative to a future, as it might stop in its tracks 1 second after you might think it is related to a future.. time freeze

space and time is matter, if time stops everything is frozen in time, it dosnt just cease to exist

Time is just a model of an object's motion in space. You are the object. You are moving.

Past, present and future are just labels that represent a relative position of the objects. The past is a prior state relative to the present. The present is the very last position of all objects we sense. The future is an inductive projection relative to the trajectory of the past and present objects.

You can only be in the present, because the past is a prior state and the future does not exist.

If all objects quit moving all at once, time would stop. There would be no past, present or future because the concept of time requires motion.

If you stay still for a three seconds, you could say you were in the same place for the past, present and future, but you would not be in the past, present and future all at the same time because they all are relative to other objects in motion.
