What can you do with a ton of friends other than hang out? You must be saying that is exactly the point. Well, sure hanging out is nice. Yeah, girls can have a couple of slumber parties and then they can share secrets. Wait! Sharing secrets? See that is the problem. You can have friends when you are younger but the second you share something that they don't like hearing not only will everyone know about it but they will not be your friend either. An entire pack of people that are your friends could suddenly decide to not be your friend. They could spread rumors about you behind your back. Face it people that are just your friends will never equal your best friend no matter how many you have. Best friends are more important than any number of friends.

Rebuttal
Pro claims that one only hang out with a group of friends. This is false, you can also rob a liquor store[1], film a sitcom[2], or even play sport[3]. Pro even concedes that hanging out with multiple 'on and off friends' is dope. She then claims that people in large groups of friends are more likely to betray your secrets, despite providing no evidence. If one spreads the risk of friendship with many different friends, and you're a massive douche, you'll still probably have a few friends left. Whereas you had one friend and were a massive douche, you've probably have lost that friend forever. The same strategy is used in investment and stock trading[4], so it's probably pretty reliable.

Negative Case
With large groups of friends you can achieve more, like breaking a world record or murdering a president. Such a achievements will have a longer lasting impact on your life, rather than some pointless small talk with a close friend.
Additionally, if you were attacked by a group of fire-wielding pyromaniacs whilst you were hanging out, a group would stand a much better chance of escaping with their lives. Moreover, Poker is a much better game with more than 2 players, something you might never get to experience without a large group of friends.

Conclusion
I have successfully rebutted all of Pro's arguments with sound sources and provided some arguments myself.
