I believe that it is right not to judge Goths or even label them. THEY ARE HUMAN. I have a friend who is dark and she sees the darkness in others upon others. They see the light in you and the darkness. Darkness is beautiful, but so is the Light. God intended us to be different. DO NOT judge your Brothers and sisters. Do Not Judge Them By Their Past! Because they don't live there anymore. Give them more than one chance. Please if you have a dark person in your school befriend them, or at least. Be nice to them. plz

I believe it is important to recognize the Goth subculture for what it is, a faction of people who have decided to follow a certain lifestyle, not unlike the Straight Edge movement, a political party, a religion. Cultures help form identities; in fact the term Goth is itself a label showing this.

But it would be folly to think that being a part of a culture is what makes 'a person'. Can a self identified Goth survive without this culture? Will they be degraded into non sentient animals without it? Of course not, as being Goth does not make someone a person any more than a political party does.

Goths can absolutely be judged on who they are. Though not an advocate of this, if one association can be criticized for its beliefs or practices, it follows that they all can be. There are critiques of groups one which can be described as racist or bigoted, and though some may consider this practice amoral, everyone has the basic human right to their own beliefs, be they justified or not.

Goth is a set of opinions. You can be judged for a set of opinions.

You shouldnt judge goths but being goth is a choice. You choose dress that way or act that way, ect. Goths shouldnt be judged but dont act like your being persecuted like minorities or women.

Reasons for voting decision: What a stupid resolution. "Do you think" requires Con to reply with any kind of "yes" to win the debate, because all Con has to show is that he/she thinks that and Con did that by making counter-arguments.
