...In the argument: I will argue about the fact that the Iraq inquiry is a bad idea, which I think it is as many people are dying and as far as I am concerned, British troops are being prepared, yes prepared! In which to do nothing for nothing, they are getting payed vast amount of our money in order to do what...get killed I think you might find the answer to be. They cannot even spend our currency over in the Iraq or Iran.
The British government is wasting valuable time and money on this inquiry.

The resolution is odd, but I think I understand it -

For the sake of clarity -
Main Entry: fact
Pronunciation: \ˈfaktFunction: noun
Etymology: Latin factum, from neuter of factus, past participle of facere
Date: 15th century
1 : a thing done: as a obsolete : feat b : crime c archaic : action
2 archaic : performance, doing
3 : the quality of being actual : actuality
4 a : something that has actual existence b : an actual occurrence
5 : a piece of information presented as having objective reality

— in fact : in truth

I would like it to be noted that the Iraq Inquiry/ Chilcot Inquiry has not as of yet finished - it's results are still pending as was highly publicized in the tabloids, it would end after the 2010 General Elections - http://en.wikipedia.org...
Facts can not yet be established as not all of the facts have not yet been revealed - Con is stating a personal opinion, not fact.

Please see following link and check the paragraph pertaining to 'UN Security Council Resolution 1441' - The initial cause Tony Blair and Labour Government used to get Britain involved in Iraq - http://www.newstatesman.com...

Main Entry: 1soldier
Pronunciation: \ˈsōl-jərFunction: noun
Etymology: Middle English soudeour, from Anglo-French soudeer, soudeour mercenary, from soudee shilling's worth, wage, from sou, soud shilling, from Late Latin solidus solidus
Date: 14th century
1 a : one engaged in military service and especially in the army b : an enlisted man or woman c : a skilled warrior
2 : a militant leader, follower, or worker
3 a : one of a caste of wingless sterile termites usually differing from workers in larger size and head and long jaws b : one of a type of worker ants distinguished by exceptionally large head and jaws
4\ˈsō-jər, ˈsōl-\ : one who shirks work

— soldierly \-lē\ adjective or adverb

— soldiership \-ˌship\ noun

Point 1 only - But, as I think by way of consensus we can all agree, soldiers have a chance of dying, this is not a point worth making by Con as a negative against the inquiry.

I will post a reply, if I feel Con has brought up a better argument.

'They cannot even spend our currency over in the Iraq or Iran.' - I don't quite understand this point. If someone in Iran or Iraq was asked - 'I want to buy that, how much is it?' - An Iranian or Iraqi could answer - '£1'. If someone wants to be paid in a certain currency they can be.
Or are you annoyed Iraqis use the Dinar? Or Iranians the Rial? Or that they fail to see your logic that the Middle East should adopt the Pound and have their own form of currency?

You think it is bad for the public to know why people were sent to a war in the Middle East?

Well I am open to argue this, however i am confused is it strictly from the English side? I am an American, hopefully i will soon be deployed to Afghanistan, could this debate be fought from the American point of view?

Can't really respond on this since I'm in the U.S. but I love how you said you were going to "argue about the fact". As if a fact, had any objectivity in it.
