In my opinion, the United States has not done enough to stop ISIS. All they have done is send in air strikes. If we want to stop ISIS we need to send in troops and have them attack ISIS head on. Plus we should feel obliged to help because France was recently attacked and we are their ally.

However, America may be very powerful country, but they are a volatile country, especially with the Paris attacks. There is tension rising between America and Russia. I fully understand your point, however, the military do have other responsibilities and politics itself is a very complex subject. ISIS are, yes, sick people, and a large organisation, but careful planning is needed and patience. There are many reports about ISIS, and attacking ISIS may cause an exterior reaction, not just from the organisation but from extremists varying from divergent beliefs, which will increase pressure with a country. It's like a bubble in a champagne glass; it'll rise to the top and pop, and igniting sich a powerful move will only cause more trouble. I believe that today, war isn't about strength like it has done in the past. Strength and intelligence co-exist and intelligence is even more necessary than it has been in the past; however, I do believe that more needs to be done.

Yes I can see where you are coming from about how it will just make the tensions much worse; however if the United States does not do something to stop ISIS now, ISIS will just to continue to raise in size. Think back to when 9/11 happened. Al-qaeda had been planning for years to attack something on US soil. Knowing how terrible ISIS is, they are probably planning an attack on the US as we debate. Therefore, the United States needs to send troops to the front lines and stop ISIS form killing innocent people, and taking over major portions of Middle Eastern countries.

Yes, I agree with you but politics is like a game of chess. You make a move early, you lose, but make a move too late. you're done. Even with rising tensions, it still cannot be done. We need a more comprehensive strategy coming from a more pragmatic sense, and yes, peace has long gone but we need a more tactical approach and deploying troops and gambling sacred lives are not the best option yet; in WW2, millions of soldiers died because of how many sergeants threw soldiers towards Germany. We stood united and won WW2 AND WW1 because of our intelligence. Knowledge doesn't cause war, ignorance does.

Ok yes I agree that we should not have thrown tons of soldiers towards Germany. But think about this, no matter what, you will always have some casualties when you send troops towards the enemy. Not one war has there ever been zero casualties. I know that having soldiers die is a bad thing, but we need to send troops to Syria and stop ISIS. Knowing how strategic the US is with their military tactics, we could wipe out ISIS in a very short time. Think about back to the Persian Gulf War, that war lasted seven months. We sent troops in right away as soon as we realized Saddam Hussein was a bad leader and he needed to go. Another one to think about is when Al-qadea attacked us on 9/11. As soon as they did that we sent troops to Iraq to stop them from attacking the United States. If we attack ISIS soon, we can stop them from even thinking about attacking us.

Yes, I agree with you but the Syrian war and ISIS are two different things. Yes, there will be casualties and we don't have a flawless plan but need the best approach with minimum casualties. But because of Britain's and America, ISIS has risen again, but stronger. ISIS are situated everywhere. 23 people native French civilians were arrested. Sending troops regardless requires skill, how you set up your bases, where you deploy them. ISIS being such an organized organisation, it seems everyone is either underestimating their skill or overestimating their skill. Thre French sent missiles and few soldiers; hours later, I saw my dad's facebook account and ISIS's threats are everywhere. They're developing a huge cyber-attack and have some of the best hackers in the world which still haven't been caught. We need to focus on the cyber threat because the effect of a data breach could be much deadlier. As for soldiers, ISIS will have no problem fighting back equally violently with troops but they're soldiers are professionals and a new development of biological weapons has been created, including nuclear weapons. France are acting irrational by practically looking for war and creating that war is a risky gamble and will end in a bloody massacre. ISIS WANT us to think this (sending troops to Syria e.g.) and they are very kinky and sly. I've seen many political debates and many advisors are saying the same thing. ISIS has grown stronger and acting rash but sending troops won't have much of an effect. They have thought about attacking us several times if see the live streams on social media. They've grown and Al-qaeda's big rival, so surely they may be able to fight all of us. Germany took over almost every country in Europe and millions perished because of skills which are being developed now weren't used before. Being cool-headed and thinking a tactical, comprehensive approach will also tame any tension stirring within countries. Because of ISIS, there are more gangs and graffiti, violence, riots and raids in France. The last time I went Paris, everyone treated each other like family. ISIS tend to stir up things within a country for first, an economic crisis and a social crisis. In 9/11, there were raids from civilians BECAUSE of the attacks, civilians acting against the law and wrecking everything is a consequence and we mustn't send troops because it will show insecurity. It's our responsibility to destroy ISIS but they're underground. If we're going to destroy them, we do it tactfully.

Then who are primarily the infinite supporters? Muslims? 'Cause they exclude anyone who is on the side of mass murder and solely don't support something as sick as that. It's like a game of chess (politics). Too soon, and you're done; too late, and you're dead. ISIS claimed responsibility because they previously threatened France in the Charlie Hebdebo magazine and swore revenge. Something as big as this takes months of planning and may be an official declaration of war, and the US can't afford that, not just yet. There are rules and laws for war and this is an entirely unique case. Though, I agree with you, I have Muslim friends and they think the same thing as you.

ISIS members are Islamic extremists and anyone who refuses to call them that are cowards and i feel that we have no way to truly defeat an organization that is recruiting over internet. How can you fight something that has infinite supporters and can convince 6 people to commit suicide while detonating a bomb to kill hundreds of people! How do you fight a group who is willing to decapitate Christian children when we must fight with the intention to only do airstrikes on targets that we ANNOUNCE and make sure that we do not harm a single person ?!?!?!?!? one can not win a war this way!!! We NEED troops there and the reason why is not to kill them, but to make sure that we show our presence and show how strong we are ! We ended the gulf war in THREE DAYS! Our military is the most technologically advanced and strongest potential in the world. If our president would stop making sure he does not offend anyone (this does not apply when it comes to a conservative or a Christian) his political correctness is killing our country ! we need to put troops on the ground! we cannot expect to win a war without having a single live lost. Our president has hugged a beheader of children and has embraced radical Catholics and radical Islamists and said they mean no harm and are peaceful while the kill our CHILDREN and kill our citizens!!! peace has not worked! we must send troops and pray that our president is impeached and that Hillary Clinton is not the next president.
