Youth is the age of confusion, dramatism and emotional changes among people. Social media is like an icing to the cake.

People post and watch pics posted on Instagram by others and thus get attracted to each other.

Facebook is like a world within the world. Here people talk to ones they don't even know about which may also lead to a relationship.

Other social networking sites also help in communicating with others. People get to talk to each other in a cheap way and they can stay connected 24*7.

Hence, social media helps in fostering gender relations among youth.

Social media is like a sandwich without all the condiments and ............ the meat. In social networking communication between people becomes watered down.

1) Most social networking sites provide people with ways to express themselves through an unoriginal medium. For example Facebook asks what your favorite movies, bands, books, tv shows, ect. are. This provides a weak basis for others to view another. A UCLA study showed that 55% of communication was non-verbal through actions. 27% was verbal through the tone of a voice. 7% was the information actually stated. The other percentages were random outliers. So this study would show that through social media the full human contact experience is being inhibited by 93%.

2) Many people, especially teens, invest too much time into social media outlets. Look up some studies. All that time spent reading about how LaQuanda "XOXOXOX <<<<3 Marcus, and f**k b****es," could be spent reading a book, going outside, talking to your friends in person, learning a new hobby. Although social networking can offer these things, do people really use it for personal growth. Generally, no!

3) Killings and other mischievous occurrences can be attributed to social media outlets. Lets take Amanda Todd for instance. A pretty girl with lots of potential sends some kid a nude pic of herself, boy proceeds to post on Facebook, she becomes renounced as a slut and becomes harshly bullied, the pattern continues, she regrettably kills herself.

my main point would be, although social networking provides cheap, easy access to friends and acquaintances with potential to easily meet new friends and acquaintances. The communication level is also cheap and easy and genuine communication between people suffers greatly because of it.
