Leaving bottled water in a car does not give you breast cancer. This is an urban legend. There are no dioxins in plastics. In addition, freezing actually works against the release of chemicals. Chemicals do not diffuse as readily in cold temperatures, which would limit chemical release if there were dioxins in plastic.

Leaving water bottles in a car allowing it to heat up can have serious side affects. When heated the plastic releases toxins into the water which can eventually lead to health problems and deformations in your children if you decide to have any so even if it does not cause breast cancer, you shouldnt leave any in your car for safety from other things.

I'd assume the myth is about a hot car.

I can see an argument for pro, yet it'd be pretty far uphill, and having the BoP would make that just ugly. If no one takes the debate, I'd advise becoming pro and making the resolution "Leaving bottled water in cars, does not increase risk of breast cancer."
