The Thomistic Cosmological Argument

P1. There exists contingent beings.
P2. A series of causally related contingent beings cannot be infinite
P3. A series of causally related contingent beings must be finite.
C1 Therefore, there must be a first cause of the series of contingent beings. [1]

P1 is a truism. Everything requires something otherwise organisms would be able to live in Stars or on Pluto etc. Everything requires certain conditions and certain things therefore necessitating their contingency [2].

P2 is also a truism since we have limited things. We do not have an infinite amount of different organisms or anything, for that matter [3].

P3 is necessitated by P2. If contingent beings cannot be infinite then they must be the only other option which is finite [4].

C1 is also necessitated by the 3 premises. If it is finite then it must begin at some point because otherwiseit would violate the principle on which the term finite is defined upon [5]. Since nothing can survive anywhere without anything or any contingency then this being must be omnipotent. Since the God of Christianity is defined as omnipotent then the God of Christianity must be this entity.

Christian Religious Experiences

Glossolalia, also known as speaking in tongues is when, after praying for a long amount of time in silence, the holy spirit is said to almost possess you and make you speak the words of God and Jesus. There have been accounts of people sporadically standing up whilst in prayer and speaking in Ancient languages such as Latin. It is important to note that the majority of these people could NOT speak Latin or these Ancient languages [6].

Stigmata is when you sporadically get wholes in your hands and feet with blood coming out of them. It is important to note that this has happened primarily to Christians who are strong believers. The significance of this is that these places are exactly the places in which Jesus was crucified [7].

Kalam Cosmological Argument (KCA)

P1 Everything that began to exist had a cause
P2 The universe began to exist
P3 The universe had a cause
C1 If the universe had a cause, that cause is God
C2 Therefore, God exists [8]

P1 is a truism, there are no examples of anything just popping into existence without any cause [9].

P2 must be true if we assume P1 to be true since we have already concluded that everything that comes into existence has a cause. The universe did come into existence since it is proven that the universe is 13.82 years old [10].

P3 must also be true since if the universe did come into existence (P2), then the universe must have a cause (P1), because everything that comes into existence has a cause.

C1 is proven because in order to create the universe it would require the power of omnipotence due to its complexity [11]. The God of Christianity coincides with omnipotence [12]. Ergo, the God of Christianity made the universe.

C2 is proven because if we have concluded that the God of Christianity is created the universe then the God of Christianity must be real because only real things can impact other real things physically [13].

Here's a good website to read about hell
In the bible. Before I didn't believe in a hell, but I wasn't sure all the facts, and this website helped me decide for sure.

Yeah ... dude, Christians tend to believe in Hell and if the Christian or Muslim or most Hells exist then as an Atheist I'm going straight to whichever exists (if any exist). Why would I be an atheist if I wasn't sure I hell exists? That's why I debate this topic. Though this time I defended Christianity however I have stronger arguments against God than for.

Does it matter what anyone believes? Nobod's gonna burn for an eternal hell! Come one people. I'm a Christian, but I believe in lgbt rights, no hell, and many other things apart from the status quo. My point is that it doesn't matter what anybody believes as long as it isn't hurting anyone.

As a matter of fact I could agree with you there. I'm not saying that I'm more or less Christian than anybody. I'm just saying that I can debate this topic because technically speaking, I'm a Christian.

Famous I understand completely and we both just agreed you're not a Christian. All I'm saying is"being close" is not the same as being a Christian, I don't mean to offend but the reality is a Muslim would be more Christian than yourself cause they follow Jesus as well but while they don't believe he was God they believe God exist. So one could call themself a Muslim Christian but that's just nonsensical. Anyway I'm not into this debating site, for this very reason, to bother reporting anything.

Good luck

Both of you completely misunderstand what I'm saying. I know that I'm not a Christian. all in saying is that I am close enough to be considered to be a Christian under the parameters set in R1 and since Christianity is undefined I believe that I am close enough to be to be allowed to accept without rule violation.

Maybe...but I also don't want to ever discourage someone from defending Christianity even if they aren't Christian. So in other words, famousdebater still has my support no matter what.

Jerry 947 he's just confused. I think he knows he's not an actual Christian but he just doesn't understand the difference between Christianity and the cults of it.

No man...you are horribly mistaken. You are no true Christian with those beliefs.

I'm happy saying that because I'm a nontheistic Christian or a christian atheist meaning that I believe that Jesus was human but had a great source of morals, etc. He's human in my opinion and therefore he has flaws. I'm happy saying that since every human has flaws.

Reasons for voting decision: FF on Con's side. Pro also is the only one who gave any true rebuttal and argument for his case. As such, it only appears logical to give Pro that point. Both for conduct and convincing arguments.
