I feel as though people complain too often regarding the flaws in the education system. If you really think the education system focusses too heavily on grades and performance, you need to rethink the role of the education department. Its essentially there to categorise young people to guide them to a pathway that would suit them as a career. Assesments are set at a certain standard to separate individuals. Everyone is on a level playing field, and shouldn't blame the education system for failing.

I do believe education is far too focused on grades than learning. Students whether from university to high school are getting extremely stressed over something that is suppose to teach and inform them for their future and alot of them are going without sleep to make up for system that only cares if all the answers are correct rather then if the actual student understands what it all means.

I believe high-school and College are for the purpose of guidance or separation, whichever way you wish to see it. If it was easy, unqualified individuals would be eligible for just about any career path. Everyone has a place, wether that be cleaning the streets, or performing brain surgery. All are equally important to ensure society functions. Those who feel stressed are usually the ones who waste their time irresponsibly. Your success depends on your attitude, time management and work ethic.

Yes life is dependent on time management and work ethic but where are they teaching us how to handle life like taxes and budgeting well they are not and I'm sorry are you saying that those who are stressed are irresponsible I found statistics pointing to the fact that around 80% of students in college are stressed so that is alot of irresponsible students. The education system still has a long way to go to help the individual.

Please when you make a debate like this don't leave a 500 limit you cannot possibly get any message across with just that. I just want to give you a tip as a new user and that is to check your grammar as it is one of the voting points and can turn any good argument bad.
