I think dragons represent the devil. They are pure evil. My mother made me burn all of my dragon drawings and paintings. It screamed at us. Then it caught my yard on fire. The burn mark was in the shape of a dragon. In five years of burning stuff...this has never happened.

The Devil isn't real, if he is then I give him permission to bum me.

There's a great video from Vsauce3 discussing this. It has nothing to do with the devil. It represents all of human's foes with nature. Hence the snake, hawk/eagle, and lion-like appearance. Each of these animals has been predators to humans and in showing heroes destroying them, it shows how we conquer our fears of nature.

It has nothing to do with god or any of that mumbo-jumbo.
