I will be arguing for the democratic point of view on the way that our economy should be ran. The democratic view of the economy is against corporate companies and big business, and for small business. Corporate business has lowered consumer cost, and mass production, has lowered consumer costs, but this leads to monopoly. A monopoly is an exclusive control of a commodity or service in a particular market. With a monopoly, there will be too little people with too much power of that market. Regulations on corporate companies allow for a fair market as well as creates jobs for competing businesses. More businesses means more jobs. More jobs means that people are able to purchase products, which leads back to businesses. The United States needs a strong middle class, which is what democratic views are for. A strong middle class leads to a strong economy built to last. Democrats are for new markets, which will make the economy stronger.

The democratic view of the economy is for the middle class. The Republican view focuses on the an economy that has no restrictions. An economy with no restrictions will lead to monopolies, and monopolies lead to other businesses closing due to the fact that only one company controls the market. When businesses close, workers are laid off, and when these workers are laid off, they are no longer making money, decreasing their purchases andbecoming less of a consumer. The United States economy rely on its citizens being consumers. With a democratic economy, regulations on large corporate compaines will control monopolies, and allow local and small businesses to thrive. This provides a strong economy, for the working middle class citizens of the United States.
