Older kids stay up later and learn harder stuff, so they need more sleep. You might say that learning kindergarten stuff is easy for us, but hard for them, but most kinder kids go half day! And take naps!!!

While it is true that, yes, Kinder gardeners get naps and half days, I believe that it essential to note that you have not taken into consideration one essential fact to early childhood development:
  • The younger the child, the more sleep is needed

It is a biological fact that the younger an individual is, the more sleep is needed to maintain a healthy mind. When someone sleeps, there is a certain key moment in deep sleep in which the individual dreams, called rapid eye movement sleep (REM sleep). In such a sleep, the eyes will move at random and the muscles will become paralyzed. At this point in sleep, this is when the individual is at the high point of whatever their dreaming. This is, by far, the MOST important stage of sleep. If someone doesn't get enough of this stage of sleeping, very serious sideffects can occur such as 'microsleeps', which is essentially people falling asleep and passing out no matter what they're doing, and only 72 hours of constant awakeness one can experience very potent and severe hollucinations, sometimes even causing serious mental trauma
This being stated, it has been noted that the younger someone is, the more sleep is needed. This is why newborn infants usually spend the first couple days of life sleeping and occasionally crying when they need something like food or a diaper change, and in total newborns spend 16-20 hours a day just sleeping. This doesn't go away, and gradually the amount of sleep decreases as one gets older. Between one and four, a child needs 11-12 hours of sleep, and so on until around 60-70, where most individuals only need 6 hours!

3 points to Con (Conduct, Sources). Reasons for voting decision: I personally think Kids should go to school earlier because they get out earlier, but that has conquesences: they will barely understand anything becuase they get out of chool early while high schoolers get out late and they will understand things so they can use them in college. so i agree ith pro but it is a tie. Con ha better conduct and used very good source, while pro didnt so I have to give it to Con for conduct and sources. they both had convincing reasoning and good spelling.

[*Reason for removal*] (1) Conduct is insufficiently explained. Merely restating the decision does not explain it. (2) Sources are insufficiently explained. The voter is required to assess the relevance of the sources given in the debate and not just their relative quantity.
