People claim that euthanasia can end suffering quickly, but does it really? People forget to think about how taking their life could cause suffering for other people. The family and friends of the person who wants to be euthanized will suffer tremendously if a person chooses to end their life earlier than when their natural death would be. A lot of people who want to be euthanized perhaps have been focusing on the wrong things in their life, such as money or or getting good grades. But we as human persons are more than just our money or our GPA and shouldn't let those things totally define us.

Accepted. Euthanasia is generally pertains exclusively to terminal illness to alleviate suffering. Euthanasia, today, would not be used on a stock broker that lost all his earnings during a stock market crash, or a student with an incredibly low GPA. Certainly, the patient would be subject to both medical examination by a physician, psychological evaluation by a mental health professional, and a stack of bureaucratic paperwork daunting to even the most seasoned lawyer. As such, euthanasia would be used both sparingly and, without a doubt, in cases where death is certain; imminent; and, by judgement of a health professional, unbearably painful.

This is a debate about euthanasia, but suicide also is never morally defensible. Life is a gift and we must treat it that way. We all have a right to die NATURALLY but we can't choose when we would like to end our life. That's not our decision to make.

Tempting but could you clarify; are you saying that suicide is never morally defensible? It sounds like you may just be saying that there are reasons to avoid euthanasia or suicide which is obviously true.
