Everyone living in the US should have the right to vote, not just citizens.

Voting affects everyone that lives in the United States. I don't think it's fair that only citizens are allowed to vote.
Reformist

Con

I accept

I will go into further arguements in later rounds but i will make an statement for now.

The result of any election will not effect those who are not citiznes. They can just as easily leave the country and go back to where they came from because they have their own country passports. 'Murica

This does effect everyone that lives here. Alien residents still need to pay taxes even though they have no say in the process. Voting does matter to those that aren't citizens. Some are on work permits, student visa and others are struggling to get a green card. With all of that being said they still can't vote but they still have to follow along to everything that everyone else is going through? Taxes and college tuition are alot higher if you aren't a citizen, I feel as though everything should be equal.
Reformist

Con

No because again, if they do not like the current outcome of the election they can go back to their own countries. The outcome of the presidential elections or even small elections like who will be the county sheriff should be left up to those who are the citizens of this country. If you want to vote in this country you should make the commitment of becoming a citizen. Until then you can enjoy the country but not make desicions.

Not only that but the susceptibility of fraud and turning the tables could be very present. Those from different countries could come to this country to vote.

By the way we need to stop encouraging immigration. This country needs to become an isolationist nation with little immigration because these people, specifically from latin america, are taking our jobs and sucking up on welfare benefits. Having things like the ability to vote whenever they want will increase this problem

WRONG. Non citizens do not pay taxes (aka Aliens)... wait they do, just sales tax, which is so insignificant in federal income its not even funny. Income tax, which generates 70% of federal revenue, is, guess what, not paid by illegal occupants of this nation. Plus, the constitution states only citizens can vote, so unless you'd like to change the basis our country was built upon...

Reasons for voting decision: Pro forfeited a turn; Con did not, so conduct to Con. Pros argument is that legal aliens are still paying money into the country (whether be taxes, tuition, etc.) and living here therefore they should get to vote. But as Con points out (1) if aliens don't like it, they can leave and more importantly (2) allowing aliens to vote could open up voter fraud - which to me was the most powerful argument on the board.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro ff. Pro's argument was that those that live in the US are still impacted by decisions, and thus should have a say. Con negates by showing people from other countries could come and vote. Since American decisions should be made by Americans, not other countries, I vote Con.
