I was pretty skeptical about starting this debate, but I've finally decided to do it. So this is going to be pretty serious.

Rounds will go as follows:

Round 1:
Pro - Explains rules
Con - Presents first argument

Round 2:
Pro - Presents first argument (no rebuttals. Only arguments)
Con - presents rebuttal of Pro's argument

Round 3:
Pro - Rebuts to con's case
Con - More rebuttals

Round 4:
Pro - More Rebuttals
Con - Forefits Round or just types in a random sentence. (This is to make things even. For con, this round will not be taken into consideration.

If you accept - please follow the format strictly as written!!
Good Luck!

I was going to only post an argument but, my opponent's argument was simply one sentence, so instead I will simply prove that what he said is wrong. Con states, "Evolution doesn't have evidence." That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. There are is a LOT of eveidence for evolution but I will go over three:

1. The fossil record of change in earlier species
2.The chemical and anatomical similarities of related life forms
3. The recorded genetic changes in living organisms over many generations

First I will talk about the fossil record. Many remains of animals and plants have been found in sedimentary rock. We can use this to see how species have changed over time. Some extinct species had traits that were transitional between major groups of organisms. The fact that these organisms exist is proof that species evolve over time. Also, the fossil record helps prove that multi-celled organisms came after single-celled organisms, once again proving that organisms evolve.

All living things on Earth are fundamentally similar in the way that their atomoc structures and their chemical compositions.
All species have come from one common ancestor - as can be seen with vertebrets. The arms of humans, the forelegs of dogs and cats, and the wings of birds have retained these traits from a common ancenstor. Because these animals didn't just start out by being like this, and they evolved to be this way, evolution once again exists.

Our genes have changed over many generations of time. This can be seen with natural selection. For example, If a certain anti-biotic is used to kill a group of bacteria, most of them will die, but some will survive, and reproduce bacteria that have the similar trait of being resistant to that anti-biotic. Over many generations new species can be formed. For example, Dogs were once wolves.

My opponents argument, "evolution doesn't have evidence" is 100% invalid.

Unfortunately, my opponent has forfeited. I extend my arguments. Hopefully my opponent will post next round.

TheCreationist, there is plenty of evidence to suggest that the Fact of Evolution by Natural Selection is true, such as fossils, bones, genetic data, etc.

Reasons for voting decision: Evidently Con spat the dummy and couldn't rebut Pro's Argument. Too much Evidence for Con to handle, possibly his head exploded and he lost his nerve. Also forfeiting so soon gives pro a conduct vote.
