Genesis 2:7
Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

-thus man cannot come from species same as of monkeys.

also if man were to come from ancient species of monkeys why is there still monkey like animals?

Thank you for the debate. I will do my best to counter every argument posted to prove the existence of Darwin's Evolution.

"Genesis 2:7

Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

-thus man cannot come from species same as of monkeys."

My opponent started with a verse and statement. He stated that man cannot come from the same species as of monkeys. His supporting evidence is Genesis 2:7.

The truth is that man is not of the same species as of monkeys. Instead, man evolved from a common ancestor that existed 5-8 million years ago that diverged into two separate lineages. One of these lineages ultimately evolved into gorillas and chimps, and the other evolved into early human ancestors called hominids.

Genesis 2:7 states that we are made from dust. This is 'star-dust', which is from the the heart of a star. An explosion of a star releases elements ranging from oxygen down to iron including the building blocks of life. As time passed by, evolution played its part and after millions of years, the common ancestor of mankind appeared.

"also if man were to come from ancient species of monkeys why is there still monkey like animals?"

Humans are not descended from any modern species of monkey; both monkeys and humans are descended from some long-extinct ancestor pre-dating both. Although this species, if it were transferred to today, would be considered a "monkey", it is not any living species of monkey.

Evolution explains how humans developed from a primate ancestor, but not an extant species of monkey or ape.(Modern primates include: bonobos, chimpanzees, gorillas, baboons, macaques, lemurs, gibbons, and humans. None of these is a descendant of any other.) Speciation can occur by branching into two or more reproductively isolated populations (cladogenesis) or when a single population changes over time to such an extent that the later population is considered a different species (anagenesis).

Omfg take your religious debate to the "religion" section. A verse from a book that was written 200 years after the events happened isn't science.

Now, before you make a debate about evolution, you should really take a biology class and do some basic research. A species can branch from an existing species by being introduced to new obstacles (Ex: New climate, organism needs to cool down, so organism grows less hair and grows white fur instead of black fur)
It can be considered a new species when the original species can not mate with the species that branched out. (white furred organism undergoes too many physical changes to mate with black furred organism)
