The pro argument(myself), will take the stand that passing extreme gun control laws is a bad idea. I will admit that some regulation could be used but not to the point of confiscating or trying to pull guns from private ownership. I also will support why banning assault rifles will make no difference and is a waste of time. The con will take an argument opposing me and show why extreme regulations such as assault rifles ban will make a difference and is a good idea and could be a positive impact on the country.

Listen, if we don't have extreme gun control, MORE PEOPLE WILL DIE! Listen. If you don't have gun regulation controls, people whow own guns might kill someone, like Zimmerman, thus causing another death.

I will start from the standpoint that gun regulation can be a good thing, when it is limited. As i stated above, small regulation can be a good thing. Such as better back ground checks or maybe even initiating a mental health mandate into the mix

Since your response was simple, I will do the same for the time being. The basic argument would be this. Guns to not kill people, people kill people. Guns are merely a catalyst. So if gun regulations are pushed to the max where they are trying to pull them from private owner ship and stop manufacturing what do you think would happen? People will resort to knives, bombs, and other forms of murder. The issue is the morality of the people who are doing the crimes. Nothing can stop people from dying, and people will always come up with new an innovative ways to kill people even if guns are banned.

I will also add that criminals will not abide by gun laws, they will still have guns through the black market and other underground activities. So then we have the issue that law abiding citizens will not be able to defend themselves.

So are you saying we should ban all guns? If so provide specific reasons why. If you are saying ban certain guns like assaults rifles or ar15s, provide a case for that as well

i look forward to your response.

Due to my opponents absence. We can conclude that he has either quit, or could not come up with a rebuttal to prove me wrong. Until he is able to prove an argument, we can assume he can offer no alternative.
