I believe that felons should be allowed to vote. "Felon" is a very broad, generalized term. A felon could be a man who raped and murdered someone in cold blood, but also could be a young man who, after crashing his car into another, drove off out of fear. A felony conviction doesn't automatically make someone so bad of a person that they shouldn't be allowed to vote. People make bad decisions, that shouldn't be held against someone for the rest of his or her life. Not every felon is the stone cold killer that society has made them out to be, and therefore should not be treated as so.
