In the early 20th century feminism had been important to shift the imbalance of men and women. For example the right to vote and the fact that women were paid less than women. But I believe in the past decades feminism has turned into something sinister in the western world. For example the introduction of child custody laws that make sure that fathers have to pay mother's in order to bring up their child. This unfair to fathers who did not children in the first place. Women have the choice to abort. Why can't men have the choice to not support. Feminists also claim that they support equality of the genders. This is simply not true if they did they would be called humanists or egalitarians not feminists. I hope that women can truly be equal to men but in order to that there cannot be feminists only humanists who can fight for equality in the genders. For example of only focusing on FGM which is a gruesome act why not focus on male genital mutilation (circumcision) as well as this humanists can fight for female rights in countries such as Saudi Arabia were women are still not treated with proper rights and are not able to drive. Instead of feminists fighting for only females and not gender equality why not humanism?
Humanism is the only way to look at anything in this arena. I've also felt a great disservice has been done to our children by women wanting to be "equal" we'll sorry we weren't created equal women are by nature nutures and are the best fit for raising our children. But now if there is a stay at home dad society looks down on that. Why? If you truly want 50/50 then go make that money girl! And the men will sit around and spend ur money! But no u don't want that. But you want to be equal??
