Firefox has all of the greater qualities and it has choices. You can get so many professional skins and add-ons strait from the firefox site. Internet explorer is the quickest place for viruses to come in. Firefox has a built in virus and pop-up blocker.

We meet again, haha.

Well, both have add-ons and tabbed browsing. Both have the clean interface.

IE has been around much longer, so I'd have to say that most feature ideas were adopted from IE to Firefox.

ActiveX and Active Scripting provide a simple way for viruses to come in on IE. Firefox also keeps your browsing session if your computer goes off, so you can go right back to where you were.

Let me quote NSG's comment on this debate.

"I am with revleader on what he has just stated:
Most Web sites are built to work best with Microsoft's IE simply because it's what sits on most PCs. That means some sites may not look quite right or may not be accessible at all via a browser other than IE.

I can see your point too,abney317:
Firefox offers tabbed browsing, which means that users can jump back and forth between different sites with only one window open, and live bookmarks, which show users the most recent headlines on their favorite sites and lets them go directly to those articles. "

About seeing abney's point, IE has the same thing in version 7. It also has easy-to-access RSS feeds and favorites.

On your argument that Firefox keeps the session going when the computer is off....that is a huge security flaw. Viruses can easily enter if the computer is accessible through the web at all times.

No... I mean firefox can restore your session... it's not possible to keep it when the computer is off.
Firefox is also faster. There are websites too that are better with firefox only.

Ahhh. Forgive me, I've never used Firefox, just read about it.

That is a nice feature, but think of Firefox=Mac and Internet Explorer=PC which is basically what they represent anyway. PC has been around longer and works with more CDs. MAC is relativley new and really just getting started out.

@revleader
PC has been around only a few years more than PC, and Mac has always been graphical, while this is relatively recent for PC.
