People, in private industry at least, are usually payed based on the money they bring in. For example, the NFL brings in huge amounts of money. This is why NFL players are payed so much. If doctors were paid a much as athletes, that money would have to come from somewhere. That is either from the taxpayer or the patients. Economically it makes no sense for you to do this. Also, in the case of athletes at least, the money is certainly not just handed to them. They have to be skilled and train for years. Either you would drop the athlete's pay, or up the pay of the doctors, so much that they would have to charge much more for their services. Logically, you can't justify doing this. Please, vote con.
