I think Foreign Direct Investment is a blessing in disguise because it increases the host countries economy and generates jobs.

FDI's can do horrible things. They rob the local economy by destroying local shops and buisnesses. It does this by underselling local buisnesses at price competition that they cannot afford. Plus all the profits go back to their homeland instead of staying in the local community. http://smallbusiness.chron.com...

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct - Con. Pro forfeited the entire debate, which is rarely acceptable conduct in any debate setting. S&G - Tie. Both had adequate S&G where applied. Arguments - Con. Pro failed to uphold his BOP by lacking any and all rebuttals to Con's arguments. Since Con was left standing unchallenged, he wins arguments. Sources - Con. Pro merely spammed a website, whereas Con presented a source to strengthen his argument. Thus, Con wins sources. This is a clear win for Con.
