Alright, i decided to take you up on your practice offer. what we will do is try make one good argument and that'll be that.

Round one is acceptance Round two is arguement.

I belive that gay marriage is detrimental to society and should not be legalised.

The Declaration of Independance says that all men are created equally and that they have the right to pursue their happiness. Keeping gats from marrying will violate these rights.

RFD:

Firstguy undertook to prove that gay marriage is detrimental to society. Until Firstguy meets the burden of proof, Secondguy needn't say anything at all to win.

Firstguy said "I believe gay marriage is detrimental...." which is a statement of position, not an argument. Firstguy also said, "Declaration of independence does not hold equal weight," which isn't relevant to the topic.

Thus, Firstguy never argued, never tried to make his case. He essentially forfeited the debate.

Reasons for voting decision: Cons argument that the declaration of independence holds not legal weight is correct. Pros response of "oh", was appreciated because a longer response could not have change the indisputable fact that the declaration of independence ad nothing to do with "gat rights".. Points to con for better spelling.

Reasons for voting decision: What a load of bollocks. CVB Cowboy: S&G is unwarranted as con had equally bad S&G. No one made any actual arguments or had better conduct.
