I think that Gay Marriage should be allowed because, you should be able to love who you love. Even if it means the same gender. How would you feel if you couldn't love who you love.

I accept this debate, thank you pro.

"I think that Gay Marriage should be allowed because, you should be able to love who you love."
Refutation: marriage is not a requirement to love. It is still possible to love and love with someone, without a Goverment paper issued to you.
"Even if it means the same gender."
Well that's what we're arguing.
"How would you feel if you couldn't love who you love."
1. As I stated in the first point, love is not reliant on a marriage.

2. This is a clear appeal to emotion fallacy. [1]

I await your responses.

But people who love each other want to get married. So they should be able to if they would like. People should get the rights they want. If they want this right give it to them. They should not have to go to another state to get married. Everyone has the right to marriage and gay people are also human. No one should get there rights taken away from them!

"But people who love each other want to get married. So they should be able to if they would like"
I would like to have one billion dollars in my bank account, from taxpayers money. Do I have the right to take that from them? No. I have no right whatsoever to have whatever I want.

"People should get the rights they want."
Yet again, you do not automatically get whatever you desire. Such logic would destroy society. If I want to murder yiu, do I have the right to kill you?

"If they want this right give it to them."
No rational has been given as to why we shall...

"They should not have to go to another state to get married."
They don't have to do anything if they don't want to.

"Everyone has the right to marriage and gay people are also human. No one should get there rights taken away from them!!"

You have failed to provide any *reasoning* as to why it is a right. You can't take away something they never had.

I await your arguments. And is the BoP shared, or do you have it on entirely?

An appeal to emotion is not the same as an appeal to ethics.

Reasons for voting decision: Here is my RFD. Conduct goes to con because he was the only one to say thanks. spelling and grammar go to con as well because his ideas were well placed. Con was the only one to even touch a source. The pro forfeited three times, so I rule in favor of the con!
