Gay marriage is an option that needs to be permitted to people in the United States that wish to have a same sex marriage. Gay marriage does not affect other people it only affects people that wish to have same sex marriages. Their is no reason for gay marriage to be banned it is a part of our new society.

Gay marriage is a harmful action that can corrupt our society as we continue to accept these new laws. In past years moving long ago marriage is based on a woman and a man, for homosexuals to get "married" it is not marriage. This basically denies the self-evident biological, physiological, and psychological differences between men and women which find their interconnection in marriage. If the newly wed couple wants to take care of their own child, it will be unclear who the male figure is and who is the female figure. This ignores the child best interests in the marriage. If society accepts the different relations between the man and women then the next step would be promoting incest, bestiality, or other unnatural behavior.

Gay marriage is a privilege given to those who are unhappy being married to the opposite sex. It is not someone else's job to control the life of another human beings lifestyle choices as stated in our constitution the first amendment "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." As stated in our first amendment we as citizens of the United States of America have freedom of speech. There is no reason to look over someone's beliefs because that is their choice just like its your choice to practice your beliefs.

The first amendment speaks of the freedom of speech, religion, petition, and PRESS. So if homosexuality is spread on television, little children see two women kissing or two men, they might believe that this is natural. Homosexuals are teaching kids to have relations with the same sex. CBN News states " lesbian couples have a negative outcome on children in 24 of 40 categories compared to married heterosexual couples."CBN also states that recent studies show " gay fathers have a negative outcome in 19 of the 40 categories tested". Out of 1500 people tested only 2 children were with gay families their whole lives. This proving that children are meant to be with a heterosexual family and its more beneficial to their lifestyle.

Gay marriage also affects the U.S economy and businesses in a positive way. For example in states where same-sex marriage is legal, those areas tend to have an economic boost. New York's economy gained 260 million dollars one year after the legalization of same-sex marriage, specifically in the marriage and wedding industries. Same-sex marriage also affects businesses. Now larger industries are embracing same-sex marriage and with that, a greater influx of employees is brought to that business creating more job opportunities in those areas where same-sex marriage is legal.

Some of the people who are opposed to gay marriage are opposed for financial reasons. They theorize that allowing same sex couples to marry will lead to higher insurance premiums as companies try to make up for the losses they will get from having to extend benefits to the partners of same sex plan members. In the same topic is the idea that allowing a gay couple to marry will more quickly bankrupt pensions and social security when all of these new spouses begin to get spouses benefits from their partners benefits.

If society continues to allow the same sex marriage then this will not balance the equality of men and women. Men and Women have their own individual roles in society so if a man can do the roles of a women then that is an insult to a woman. This will also weaken family bonds that society tries to maintain, there shouldn't be family dysfunctions because of homosexuals. Also people seem to use Civil Rights as a advantage to homosexuals but replacing the "civil" with "gay" isn't solving anything.

Gay marriage does not affect the balance of equality between men and women because it is not insulting for a man to be more like woman if anything it shows that they appreciate woman qualities and want to be more like a women. The legalization of gay marriage will decrease the level of teen suicide because one reason why teens desire to kill themselves is because of our society looking down upon people that are not interested in the opposite sex. If our society is more willing to same sex marriage teens will feel that they are not outcasts in today's society therefore decreasing teen suicide. The only reasons gays wish to have better civil unions certain options like medical, financial and social rights are given to opposite sex marriage.

Another threat that homosexuals pose in society is the spread of STDs. If the couples try to be sexually active then this will spread HIV, Gonorreah, ect. People that are homosexuals are at substantially higher risk for emotional problems, including depression, anxiety disorder, substance abuse, and suicidal. If everyone is becoming a homosexual little children would not know if being a heterosexual is acceptable in society anymore.

"People that are homosexuals are at substantially higher risk for emotional problems, including depression, anxiety disorder, substance abuse, and suicidal."

It's extremely likely that these emotional problems are not inherently due to homosexuality but rather society's prejudice against gay people.
