Gay Marriage should not be legal because this will affect the way little kids see the world and the opposite sex. They will begin to follow up with the gay people and then they will start doing gay things. This will affect the way they look at the same sex and there won't be many reproduction which affects how many people are in the new generation.
Gay Marriage should be legal in the U.S because it is your own rights to love someone. The new generation should start to figure out at a young age, about 14 and up, if they are gay or not. The new generation has the choice to follow in the footsteps of theirs parents and marry the opposite sex, or end up marrying the same sex. Teenagers around this age are held accountable for their own actions, so should also be allowed to choose the sex they like.
The definition of marriage is the legally or formally recognized union of a man and a woman as partners in a relationship. The definition clearly states that a man and female should get married and that two people of the same sex should not be partners in a relationship.
The definition of marriage also includes a side note of, or, in some jurisdictions, two people of the same sex. Therefore, it should be legal for gay marriages to occur in the U.S and everywhere else in the world.
If gay couples are seen in public, the people around them get disgusted and try to take their children away because a man is supposed to marry a women and make out with them. The people in society aren't used to seeing two men kiss or something like that so when they do see it, they aren't that happy. The gay couples in society make the children and citizens feel uncomfortable with themselves and just being in the same neighborhood with that couple and therefore, gay couples shouldn't be legal.
Gay Marriage should be legal in the U.S because it is your own rights to love someone. If you are gay, you won't know it at first, it comes to you in time. It is not your falt if you become gay. You should not be held accountable for who you like, or dislike. Letting gay people marry is basically just giving them their own rights. The U.S is a free country and people should have the right to choose who to marry, even if they are gay. One group of people should not be able to take the rights of another group of people.
Children need both parents, a father and a mother. The female children are more likely to to have early sexual activity and more likely to get pregnant at an early age if the father isn't there with them. Children that don't have a mother are emotionally deprived of their security and doesn't have the motherly advice. In a study by Mark Regnerus, children raised by parents of the same sex suffered more difficulties in life, sexual abuse and unemployment are included in the difficulties.
If a pair of same-sex lesbians or gay men want children, it means there are dedicated to raising their child. About 50 percent of pregnancy are accidental in opposite-sex relationships. This proves that same-sex households are more dedicated to raising a child than a household of opposite-sex. Also, studies show that children of same-sex parenting households do just as well as normal household kids in many important things in life. These include: "emotional functioning, sexual orientation, stigmatization, gender role behavior, behavioral adjustment, gender identity, learning and grade point averages." In fact, kids in some cases prefer same-sex parenting than different sex parenting.
