All I want to know is why people blame God for taking lives away; when God only does right?

When someone close to us or someone on the news dies people automatically blame God. Why God, why not the Devil? What if it's not God who's taking these lives from us. Also, when a person has done something wrong/evil we look up to God and ask him to remove this person. Maybe there is a Heaven and Hell.

My Theory:
God may take away the lives of the bad people and send them to Hell; and will only take the lives of good people who are ready to pass on to Heaven.
The Devil on the other hand may take innocent lives but once gone they are sent to Heaven not hell as they have done no harm.

So my argument summed up into one question would be:
Why do we blame God and not the Devil for taking innocent lives?

Accepted. For me to win this debate, I must prove Satan and God are good/evil on equal terms or God is otherwise evil or Satan is otherwise good. I will be attacking my opponent's theory. I am also devil-advocating God's existance.

Good luck.

Thank you, I was just thinking on this matter and found this site.

I think the argument is "We should blame the devil when good people die," not god.

Con would then argue either there are no souls, or it's really God doing the work. If this was not Meggy's first debate, I'd probably take it.

No I don't think that at all.

I think you can understand what I mean, I didn't really know how to word it.

Sorry for the doublepost. The site went all weird-hangupy, and I tried to refresh to confirm that the comment hadn't posted, but apparently that was ineffective.

So just to clarify: You think that the Devil is equal to, and was not created by, God?
