God does not exist. There is no evidence or proof to back up the belief that he exists. Its exclaimed that there is no proof that he also does not exist but there is one fatal flaw in that belief. He is defined as being omnipotent and omniscient and therefore would have no reason to hide his existence from us. The human mind gave birth to the thought of the all-powerful god to give hope to existence back in times when people were surrounded by despair and destruction.

I thank my opponent for the debate.

I negate the resolution, "God does not exist."

Although my opponent defines "God" in his first round argumentation, he failed to define "exist." Thus, the definition of "exist" for this debate shall be:

exist - to have being in a specified place or under certain conditions; be found; occur [1]

My opponent quotes: "The human mind gave birth to the thought of the all-powerful god to give hope to existence back in times when people were surrounded by despair and destruction."

My opponent states that the human mind gave birth to the thought of the all-powerful God back in old times. However, merely giving thought of God recognizes His being in a specified place and under certain conditions. The condition would limit oneself to being a Christian, and the being in a specified place would account for the Christians' mindset and thoughts of God having being. Thus, my opponent has already contradicted himself, for his argument supports God's existence. The resolution is negated. Thank you.

My opponent states that i have contradicted myself by not specifying the definition of exist but this is not true. In fact, the pure source he himself uses contradicts his point. His source uses a real-life example of the word exist "Hunger exists in many parts of the world."(1) This example states the word exist in reality while i stated it about the thought of a conscious mind.

My source used an example sentence to help the viewer understand the word. Obviously, the only purpose of that sentence is to use the word "exist" in an application. That does not mean that "exist" is limited to reality. I proved that the definition of "exist" applies to the conscious mind through reasoning. My opponent has failed to counter my arguments. All arguments extended. Thank you.

You also failed to put the entire definition that is stated. The entire definition is "to have being in a specified place or under certain conditions; be found; occur: Hunger exists in many parts of the world."(1) If it is found or has occured extends only to reality and not conscious thought. The fact that you would let consious thought automatically make something real contradicts your whole religon. If i made up another god then according to your point that makes it exist and according to the monothelistic religon there is only one god. This entire argument was based on contradicting me. Next time i would like an argument against an opponent that actually has some opinions and doesn't just put the quickest thought that comes to his mind to counterpoint what i state. Thank you.

how am i a hypocrite? i gave my ideas and then you just said exist contradicts it. I was waiting for you to give an idea or thought to prove me wrong.

Dude, all you did was argue about the sentence associated with the definition! Hypocrite much?

Whatever. I really dislike people who wont debate with ideas, but instead only definitions. I respect the belief in god. You may believe in him if you wish, i was merely hoping for a long debate with proper ideas put into question.

Koopin, I forfeited a round because my opponent did not attack my key points. Plus, I had finals.

Conduct to CON. While CON forfeited one round, PRO was disrespectful in his last round.
Grammar to CON for capitalization.
Arguments to CON. PRO had a chance to win in the last round, but didn't take it at all. His final argument was rather weak, merely contradicting CON with no evidence.

i didn't cheap out on anything. I didn't want this to be a debate on definitions i wanted it to be a debate on ideas, thoughts, and theorys but all you did was spout out the first thing that came to your head about the word exist.

Honestly, killcam really didn't prove God didn't exist. He merely tried to cheap out on a definition, and it was actually a sentence used as a model of the definition. Koopin, you really don't understand how debate works, do you?
