Thank you for your opening statements. Here are my arguments against the statement that God is real.
A majority of people are aware of Charles Darwin and his contributions to the theory of evolution, but here's just one example. In 1835, Darwin illustrated and described about fifteen subspecies of finches. But were they different? Yes! As a matter of fact, some had bigger heads and broad, short beaks while others had long, pointy beaks and tinier heads. This is an example of natural selection.
Natural Selection - the process whereby organisms better adapted to their environment tend to survive and produce more offspring. The theory of its action was first fully expounded by Charles Darwin and is now believed to be the main process that brings about evolution.
Evolution - the process by which different kinds of living organisms are thought to have developed and diversified from earlier forms during the history of the earth.
This wouldn't be possible with Adam and Eve, because according to The Bible, the world is just 6,000 years old when it really takes over 1,000,000 years to evolve.
Like I said above, The Bible dates the Earth to be only 6,000 years old. But then why do we have fossils? Fossils take a minimum of 10,000 years to form and the oldest fossil dates back to 3.5 billion years ago. [5, 6] If God were to create the Earth 6,000 years ago we definitely wouldn't have fossils.
3) God is "Good"
According to The Bible, God is good, no questions asked.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His lovingkindness is everlasting. (Psalms 107:1)
God reigns over all of mankind with love and kindness in his heart, right? Here are some more Bible passages that might suggest otherwise.
You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. (Leviticus 18:22)
Do not allow a sorceress to live. (Exodus 22:18)
Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
This following passage indicates that God created everything and everyone.
For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. ( Ephesians 2:10)
Why would God create the LGBT, witches, and women if He would condemn them and treat them unfairly?
And relating to this issue, why did God create world disasters, harmful diseases, and terrible criminals? If He watches over all of us then why doesn't he stop these things from happening? God doesn't stop any of these events because he doesn't exist.
4) We Can't Reasonably Prove God's Existence
Despite all of this, can we prove His existence? Let's look at the steps of experimental method.
1. Observe some aspect of the universe.
2. Invent a tentative description, called a hypothesis, that is consistent with what you have observed.
3. Use the hypothesis to make predictions.
4. Test those predictions by experiments or further observations and modify the hypothesis in the light of your results.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until there are no discrepancies between theory and experiment and/or observation.
Observe - to see, watch, perceive, or notice
We can't see God. If we could then we'd actually be able to prove that God exists. That makes Step 1 lose weight right away which makes it impossible to prove that God exists, though we can observe the reasons against a God of any kind existing.
In conclusion, for the reasons above, God can't reasonably, logically, or scientifically be proven to exist at any time. Thank you. Peace.
