Kalam Cosmological Argument

1) Everything that begins to exist has a cause.
2) The universe began to exist.
3) Therefore, the universe had a cause.

Many people have problems with the difference of ex materia and ex nihilo creation. We can only witness the materia kind of creation. You grew a tree, you say? Ex materia. It is a fallacy to mistake the "out of something" to the "out of nothing" in regards to the creation of the known universe.

One other thing. God is a problem for the KCA. God presumably did not create himself. It had to be something else. After all, don't some Creationist say the , oh lets just say the brain had a designer? Who designed God? Would that prove the KCA false?

Why not write out the opponent's arguments as well? You have given no definitions. You have provided no parameters, but you then dictate exactly wha you want the opposition to say when they accept this debate. Which god? Define 'probably.' Within the constraints of probability or in the use of the word of emperical probability?

Really silly debate set up for semantics and personal opinion without any basis in fact or provided axiom.
Oh, and it is really poor form to recycle a debate that you are currently debating http://www.debate.org...
