Going to war kills many people, not just the people fighting, but the civilians that live near the war zones. Going to war is also very expensive and wastes lost of natural resources. It also causes lot of harmful chemicals to be released into the ecosystem. war is not good for the economy or the ecosystems.

I understand: War is harmful. However, in certain instances, war is a necessary thing. When your way of life, your well-being, or your very existence is being threatened, you have two options: roll over and accept your fate, or fight to the last breath for what you believe. War is a gruesome, yet necessary part of existence on this Earth. If war is avoided at all costs, the entire world would be under Nazi rule. The only reason the Nazis did not win is because we fought for what we believe in.

The reason for these "bare assertions" is because this debate was set to a maximum of a mere 100 words.

Reasons for voting decision: Neither argument is substantiated to the point where I could vote for them. Everything is a bare assertion. No sources are used. It's just statement after statement of unsupported assertions.
