Transportation is necessary for a functional city, without a public transportation network roads would be clogged with cars that carry a small amount of people and cause a high amount of pollution. With Public transportation people can travel together to there destination on Metro Trains that can run on more efficient power sources. With a public Transportation network people can meet new people while helping the earth.

Bus Transportation is the most important section of the public transportation in big city areas. People mostly travel through buses to different parts of city. Buses are available to almost every routes of city. Similarly, train service and the car services are also other mode of transportation and very much essential for the people.

The public transportation is very much important in case of the of city areas or rural areas. Basically the transport service providing companies are playing a huge role for this. They are the responsible for the better transportation services. The tracks or roads of the vehicles like: cars or buses or trains those are providing the transport services need to be more developed in terms of the better transportation.

Most public transport, planes, trains, boats, buses and trams usually run on fossil fuels (coal, oil or natural gas) that release greenhouse gases (mainly carbon dioxide (CO2)), or by using electricity generated by burning fossil fuels. This is bad for the environment because it is causing global warming.

Public transportation is not necessary on campus. The housing and campus buildings are very close and easily traversed with walking. There are options such as taxis and bus transportation to get around off campus. The downtown and shopping areas are easy to get around, and the downtown area is not far from campus, so walking or biking is a viable option. However, transportation is needed to get to the shopping/mall area. I use my car since I don't live on/near campus.

Reasons for voting decision: This debate is a mess. Does "public transportation" mean trains rather than buses? Or run by the government rather than by private enterprise? Or does it mean mass transportation of any kind? Neither side said what it was. Lacking definition, I think the common meaning is that it means mass transportation. when there is no definition, common meaning applies. Con agreed that mass transportation is needed, so the debate goes to Pro.
