Pro

It is an awesome movie becase-
1-It has Jack Black in it
2-its not that scary so its good for family
3-it has only mild romance
4-Its way for kids to connect with the books
fire_wings

Con

I accept. I came to noobsnipe! :). BoP is on Pro and he needs to prove that Goosebumps is an awesome movie. As Goosebumps, we are meaning of all the movies.
Debate Round No. 1

Pro

No i meant The movie!
fire_wings

Con

Pro failed to meet the burden of proof that Goosebumps is an awesome movie. He just says, no the movie. I did that as a trick, and he followed into it. Pro failed to meet the burden, so vote for Con.

1. Opinion

It is your opinion that Goosebumps is an awesome movie. It can be different for everyone. For me, It was scary, so it was not fun.

Vote for Con!

4 points to Con (S&G, Arguments). Reasons for voting decision: Pro didn't make a single argument, instead he presented his opinion. Pro had the Bop to show us the the movie "Goose bumps" was awesome, he did not fulfil his Bop. Con simply argued the resolution is subjective, meaning that the resolution can mean different things, to different people, and it's not narrowed down to "awesome" S&G goes to Con. Pro used unneseary explination marks, and in round two, he had uncompleted sentences, and didn't end his sentences with a period.

[*Reason for non-removal*] The arguments point is sufficiently explained. The S&G point is poorly explained, as this doesn't necessarily indicate that Pro's arguments were difficult to understand, but given the short nature of those arguments and the common incidence of S&G errors, the vote is viewed as sufficient.

3 points to Pro (Arguments). Reasons for voting decision: Pro argued that alleged facts 1, 2, 3, and 4 from round 1 all indicate that Goosebumps is an awesome movie. Con responded with a generic BoP argument, and also stated that it was merely Pro's opinion that Goosebumps is an awesome movie. Con did not address Pro's argument at all. Con dropped it. Additionally, Con's point about the subjectivity of opinions isn't very convincing because it doesn't indicate the direction opinions will go one way or another.

[*Reason for non-removal*] The vote is sufficient, explaining how the arguments factored into the decision and why certain arguments worked and others didn't. Consistency or a lack thereof is not assessed as part of vote moderation.

3 points to Pro (Arguments) Reasons for voting decision: Did con just not read R1? Pro provided arguments in R1. The Bop was accepted to be on pro. Pro provided a number of reasons as to why goosebumps is a good movie. Whilst con did provide an argument, he had no burden and his role was to refute the claims of pro. Not make his own arguments. These would have been okay as additions however when pro has the bop this means that to win he must prove the resolution to be true. By dropping all of his arguments you are allowing pro's evidence to stand with a response to it. Since they stand, pro has proven the resolution true and fulfilled his BOP.

[*Reason for non-removal*] The vote is sufficient, explaining why Pro's arguments going unrefuted factors so heavily in the decision and why Con's own arguments largely weren't factored into the decision.

Note: This report did not contain any reasons to justify a removal. Unless said justifications are provided, the result will be the same.

Actually, nevermind, it was 2 votes to 2. That last vote removal belongs on a different debate.

@firewings

My count is that I removed 3 votes for Pro and 2 for Con, so if anything, the vote removal was beneficial to you.
