The Gospel of John 10:10 teach us that we can cheat and steal and lie and still have a full life (once forgiven by god). Whereas some believe it teaches us that, those who stay within society's legal and ethical boundaries will have the most full life. Which is true?

John 10:10 says

"10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."

John 10:10 does not say that we can cheat and steal, but that it is the enemy who does. Jesus came so we can have life in him.

Jesus was comparing his life to the thiefs, satan. If it steals, kills or destroys, is not God. He came to give us an abundant life. We are the masters of our destinies. We choose who we will follow. He says that if we continue doing the things he tells us to do, then we are then disciplined like him, and then we will know truth, and truth will make us free . Free from whatever steals, kills or destroys.

So, if anything happens in your life, and it steals, kills or destroys, it is never God's will or permission. That just should tell you that you do not know some truth that would have made you free from that.

That does not say cheating and lying and other stuff you said is permissible to having a full good life. Being Christ is the full good life.
