Looking forward to seeing what happens here. So far I have found grades to be indicators of only a narrow range on the broad spectrum of intelligence.

For the first 9 years of my school life I got nothing but top marks. Then I hit puberty, discovered girls and my grades plummeted even though my tests scores were still top. I got bad grades because I was disruptive in class (flirting) and did 0 homework (dating).

So grades can measure intelligence in some but not in others. Hell, I had a friend who was a strange little guy. He was hardcore into alternative bands and had really long hair. He was just a goofball who got bad grades and annoyed people by putting fliers all over school for the bands he loved. One of them showed a woman's crotch but with a vampire mouth instead of a vagina.

IQ testing time came around and he got the highest score in the entire school of over 2000 kids!
