As you can see, all the Bible books are dated after Jesus.

YE MEN OF ATHENS.... In him we live, and move, and have our being; AS CERTAIN ALSO OF YOUR OWN POETS HAVE SAID, For we are also his offspring.
Acts 17:22-28
Bible2000

Con

I don't understand your argument. Among the Athenians there were meny different schools of thought like the Epicureans and the Stoics, each with their own ideas about the gods. But when the apostle Paul visited Athens at around the year 50 C.E., he presented to them a completely different point of view. That's what Acts 17:22-28 is, what the apostle Paul told to the Athenians during his visit. Nowhere is it suggested that Greeks wrote part of the New Testament before Jesus was born.

Acts 17:23. For as I passed by I beheld your devotions, I found an altar "with this inscription..."
TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Was written by an anonymous Greek.

Acts 17:28. FOR. WE ARE HIS OFFSPRING. Was written by Aratus around 200 BC.

Acts 17:28 FOR IN HIM WE LIVE, AND AND MOVE, AND HAVE OUR BEING. Was written by Epimenides around 600 BC.

Titus 1:2. One of themselves, even A PROPHET of their own, said,
THE CRETIANS ARE ALWAYS LIARS,... Was written by Epimenides around 600 BC.

And Philippians 1:21. For me to live is Christ
TO DIE IS GAIN. Was said by Socrates, and written by Aristotle in The Apology of Socrates, around 399 BC.
Bible2000

Con

Acts 17:23 describes what Paul saw in Athens. So, he tells the Athenians "What you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you" and proceeds to tell them about the true God.

Titus 1:2 is about the hope we have of everlasting life because God, who cannot lie, has promised this.

And surely you can see the difference between Philippians 1:21 and what Socrates wrote!

Conclusion - There is no evidence that Greeks wrote parts of the New Testament before Jesus was born.

@bluesteel: The pro and I both gave sources.
We both gave the dates our sources were used; and, neither one of us told how you could know they said it.

4 points to Con (arguments, conduct). {RFD = Reasons for voting decision: Pro used weak arguments with NO explanations whatsoever, just sentences and verses and words. Please, Pro, put a little more effort into your arguments than just saying someone said something. When did the person say that, how do we know when it was said, etc.}

[*Reason for Removal*] Failure to explain conduct.

The con only used the jw site as his source, and quoted it.

I quoted the Bible, and told you the Greeks who wrote the verses I quoted.

I typed "all the Bible books are dated after Jesus" referring to the Greek books only.
