Gun Control will not help us as a country. Guns don't kill people. If someone is sketchy as hell, take his guns. My guns belong to me.

Gun Control should be placed into effect because it will secure the safety of all of us. It is bad enough that twenty-six people had to lose their lives because someone was "sketchy" and no one took his guns, or all those people who lost their lives when they went to the movie theater to see a movie. We shouldn't have to worry about possibly being shot if we want to go see a movie or children going to school to get an education.

Gun Control can and will help us as a country because with it in effect we can be sure that "sketchy" people cannot just get guns willingly. I feel that before someone is able to purchase a gun, they should be given stipulations to ensure the safety of others around them. We as people can never really know how someone is going to act when given a gun in their hands, so why not have gun control so that there is some kind of safety.

Shelly's point is more than valid. How would we decide who is "sketchy", anyway? What makes these people dangerous is when they snap, it's unexpected. Nobody sees it coming.
Besides, you're giving government too much power when they can take away someone's guns based simply on their judgement of that person.
In Logan's response, I'm expecting him to give specifics which would limit the government's power in such a situation. Concrete evidence that shows a person is unstable, maybe? That'd be difficult to pull off.
