The gun control law in America is only prohibiting American citizens/ civilian from owning a military level weapon. Why would an average person want to own a AK47 unless they planned to use it for destruction. Furthermore, if all they wanted was to look at it, it wouldn't be safe! What if someone got their hands on it? someone who didn't have as good intentions as the previous owner?

The second amendment of the US constitution states, "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

When that amendment was put into place it was not help hunters find hunting rifles. It was to allow the civilians of the United States to protect, "the security of the free state ," and keep their rights stated in the US constitution from being infringed. The American government was built on the foundation that it got its power from the people. If our government ever moves away from that founding principal the second amendment makes sure that the people will have the power to, "form a well regulated militia". You ask why the average person would want to own an AK47 unless they planned for destruction. The answer is simple, protection, both that of their families and their rights. If US government falls into a trap of a dictator or becomes occupied by foreign troops, every family that owns any sort of weapon, but especially those that own automatic weapons such as an AK47, will help exponentially in maintaining the, "security of the free state".

The second amendment supports the longevity of our government, its is a backup if the checks and balances in our government fail. Imposing a gun control law is not only threatening the rights of American citizens, but also the vary basis on which our government is governed: for and by the people.

It is difficult to rebut an argument that has not been put in text. But I will attempt.

America is a free state. When the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence were drafted; British Colonial rule was still a fresh memory to all. In the preamble of the declaration of independence Thomas Jefferson wrote, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." The militias that drove the British back to their home country were often armed with the crudest of weapons. If, for any reason, the "free state" is held in jeopardy again, the second amendment allows us to own weapons -namely guns- to form a, "well regulated militia" fight for the freedom of our children, and there children.
