Juvenal

Con

This debate is focusing on who can produce the more beautiful haiku, as decided by the voters. I do not want to become involved in a trash-talking Haiku battle. One haiku per round.
My first haiku:
Droplet Leaves the Bough
Ripples Spread Upon the Steam
A Beautiful Sound
ccstate4peat

Pro

Feel the gentle breeze
Rushing, Flowing through the trees
The sound is pleasant
Debate Round No. 1
Juvenal

Con

Shaded paths ahead
Golden limbs sway in the breeze
Wander Purposely

Pro

Spring is magical
Cherry Blossoms are blooming
It is, indeed, nice
Debate Round No. 2
Juvenal

Con

The Sun has gone down
Darkness changes the landscape
I think I like it.

I would like to congratulate my opponent on a great contest. Words can be used for creating art instead of argumentation.

Pro

I would also like to congratulate my opponent on a great debate.

Beauty is hidden
Often misinterpreted
It's difficult to find

My guess is you commented on the wrong debate, but also, there is no syllable requirement. Do some research.

slash should have been slash

There is definitely a syllable requirement. Because he used the word slash in symbol form, he should not get any points.

You got PRO and CON mixed up, and there is no syllable requirement.

(And I, also, gave a 5-point vote.)

Went 'Pro':

Pro seemed to be far more descriptive, and gave wonderfully vivid details (Shaded paths, golden limbs, etc.).

Also, Con's last haiku lost form - "It's difficult to find" - 6 syllables (broke the 5-7-5 pattern); I don't want to be picky, but it is a HAIKU contest, and I had to find what I could to come to a decision.

Is this based on three-point votes? Or five-point votes, as sources can't matter? Or maybe even seven-point votes? I'm going to put down five for who I though won. Please tell me if I should do otherwise.
