Round 2-4 Arguing/Rebuttling
Round 5 - Closing statement/argument.
I believe Snape would be Professor Mcgonagall in a duel. Snape has a lot of experience and magical knowledge. I will put forth my stronger arguments once someone has accepted this debate.
Goodluck to however accepts it.
Snape and Mcgonagall are both powerful wizards. However Snape is a more experienced, and a more powerful wizard.
For one, he is exceptional at potion making, which is not something that is easy.
In the movie "Deathly Hallows" Mcgonagall attacks snape, however snape blocks her spells with ease. In the book, the only reason why snape runs is because Professor Flitwick appears to help her.
Your argument now, my opponent.
Snape is excellent at occlumency, meaning he could lie to voldemorts face, and he did for years on end. Also during the days when he was a death eater, he was never caught. Snape is an excellent wizard.
During his child days, he created several spells, which i would not think to be easy. Did Mcgonogal ever do that? Nope.
Snape being caught off guard by Voldemort, what does this prove? Voldemort is the most powerful dark wizard there ever was. Snape fooled him for so many years. Also, what surprise is it that Snape lost to Voldemort? The only 2 people in the world who have ever fought him back are Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore.
You have yet to give any sort of decisive information proving that mcgonogal is a more powerful witch/wizard.
Thus your argument is invalid.
Albus Dumbledore is the only wizard Voldemort feared. That alone puts some respect towards Dumbledore.
