#1. Those were Civilians, not soldiers.
#2. There is still residual radiation in Hiroshima and Nagasaki which is flooding the Pacific Ocean and killing the fish.
2). Yes, but they didn't know the effects of radiation back then since these bombs were the first dropped on an Ocean Area.

Reasons for voting decision: The way I see it, you left it up to me to decide whether his good policies and the good reason for dropping the nukes outweigh killing a ton of people. I would say yes. In the end, fewer people probably died. Also, the fish have nothing to do with this debate bacuse you are talking about whether he was a good guy, and he had no idea about the fish. So in the end, what is my answer to the statement "Truman was a good guy?" Drum roll please..... True, man! (I crack myself up.)
