during certain situations, officers must use necessary force against a person to protect themselves and many of the times it is an African American male getting killed because they put themselves in that situation because they are more likely to get into trouble with the law.

Recently a white male has shot and killed 3 Muslims. His wife has said it was over a car parking space not a hate crime.
When things like this happens people always try and defend them saying things like " but he was such a good person" . Another recent story is a black man was shot when his arms were raised. The police said they shot him because he was resisting police. That is not a good enough excuse to shoot someone.
Another case: Ferguson. A black man was shot multiple times and killed even though the police officer and civilians were not in danger.
Now another story is a white man had a gun and police tried communicating for around 15 before using force now if this was a black man he would of been shot. My evidence: A boy had a BB gun and did the police try to communicate? No they shot him. And they didn't even respond to the 999 call until they heard it was a black boy. http://www.dailymail.co.uk...

15 minutes is no where near enough time to properly debate this, In this debate both parties have to show the impact of shooting and whom it is more targeted towards. Also your statement of African Americans are more prone to getting into trouble with the law begs the question why are they?

Reasons for voting decision: Pro's counter-arguments gave reference to recent shootings of African American males and described why they could be considered acts of racism, instead of merely blanketly asserting that they were acts of racism. Therefore, Pro's arguments are more convincing. Sources to Pro because sources should be vital in a debate like this wherein recent shootings are the topic, so evidence and correct interpretations of the events would require sources.
